What are the allowable boundaries for responding to motor vehicle assault?
I was typing in a Q about whether the court is required to inform the defendant of the boundaries separating criminal responses to an unwanted pubic encounter, from lawful alternatives –especially as relates to eventual jury instructions. The site timeout ate that one. The case I am looking at was c...

Re: Rules regarding change of Judges
Did that to me too! Went to court to put away more bad actors involved in a break-in of my vehicle with me in it, and store cameras recording. Prime doer got criminal mischief to answer for. Witness on the other side said something to the guards and got into the courtroom with his gun. Then the assi...

Re: Law regarding Judicial concealment of charges from jury
I sincerely appreciate your breadth and depth in legal knowledge. Legalexperts.com or whatever was difficult and is now gone, so the only way joe blow can get legal direction is to wildly guess local statutes or go to jail on the odd chance "the process" will "enumerate" a damn t...

Re: Law regarding Judicial concealment of charges from jury
So the public has no right to know if a spitting-on-the-sidewalk case is an infraction, misdemeanor, or felony? Or is this covered by the a trial with a public invite and/or the transcript? I'm not sure miss liberty isn't running to the rape center on this one.

Law regarding Judicial concealment of charges from jury
In Iowa (USA) is there any violation in a judge instructing the court to avoid any mention of the level of severity of the charges, and specifically preventing the jury from knowing whether the charges are felony or misdemeanor? Seems to be an absurd instruction, and maybe it was simply an incitemen...

Judicial Bullying in criminal cases
I wonder if a judge can interrupt a defendant during sworn testimony (regarding a manic/aggressive offense) to ask any specifics about sedatives the defendant speculates he might have used for attaining better sleep quality at the general time of the offense.

Re: What is government Property
That was a snazzy reply!!! Thanks for the help! I should have videoed my picking it up from the Craigslist owner's "toy box" as he called it. I had no idea these these sell for $1500 and even much more. That's felony grade, so I worry about dishonest cops, since they need no proof (and Mor...

Medicare Rope a Dope
My longtime personal physician retired recently and now I am denied the free annual healthcare checkup that I always got. They want $350 each physical. Is a free annual checkup standard for Medicare, or am I misinformed? Thx.

Re: What is government Property
Thank you for the response - you mention every issue I am worried about. I bought it from Craigslist - cash / no receipt. Morissette (1952) bothers me here b/c of the generality of the SCOTUS definitions of criminal conversion of gov't property, so I wonder if the serial number on the bike prevents ...

What is government Property
I recently bought a 2000 EV Global Motors PE electric bike from Craigslist at a scrap price, where PE stands for Police Edition. It has been out of production since that year. Is this government property that I am disallowed from selling? It is a working museum piece and should fetch north of $1500,...
