A little over a year ago, several of the staff of Linux Format
magazine quit, and formed a new magazine, Linux Voice
They used Kickstarter
to do it. As part of their incentives, they made two promises to the community.
- They would donate half their profits back to deserving open source projects.
- They would release all the rights to every magazine to the Creative Commons (CC) license after it was nine months old. That means after nine months each issue becomes free for anyone and everyone to download and distribute.
They recently released their premier issue to CC. I won't be republishing all of their issues here, but I'll host the first one, just to get things started. Here's the link to download this magazine for free:
