Inclusive Language

Comprehending laws and contracts is impossible, unless we first learn the meaning of the words and phrases they contain.

Inclusive Language

Post by notmartha »

The Inclusive Communications Task Force at Colorado State University compiled an "Inclusive Language Guide" to aid Social Justice Warriors (SJW) in not "offending" anyone with the use of certain words or phrases.

Some of these "offensive" words and/or phrases include:

America/American
Basket Case (even if speaking of yourself)
Colored (wait.... I thought "colored" was the preferred term, instead of black...)
Depressed
Eenie meenie miney moe (yes, I'm serious...)
Handicapped / Disabled
Hip hip hooray!
Hold Down the Fort
Long Time No See
No Can Do
Peanut Gallery
Rule of Thumb

And the list goes on and on...

Of course they even admit "language is always evolving" so they can change what's acceptable and not acceptable at whim. George Orwell, who said "If thought corrupts language, language can also corrupt thought” would be proud of the Newspeak being pushed on our young people today.

See for yourself....
