Why was my account deleted?

This board sometimes gets a huge amount of spam. If it's only a few dozen spam messages, I can delete them and ban the users who posted them. But when it's thousands, the only easy way to do it is to delete all new users who signed up after a given date.

If you are a legitimate user who has fallen victim to this heavy-handed approach I apologize. Please know it wasn't personal, only necessary to preserve the integrity of the forum. Please do try again.
