The Corporate Media Called The Fukushima Nuclear Meltdown Coverup Fake News For Over 5 Years Before Finally Admitting The Truth.
The corporate media called reports of a Fukushima Nuclear Meltdown in Japan “Fake News” for over five years before they finally admitted the truth after the disaster was no longer on the public’s radar. Even after admitting to the meltdown they continued their lies finally reporting that Fukushima seaborne radiation hit the U.S West Coast a little over a week ago.
With President Obama quietly signing the 2017 NDAA into law which codifies the spreading of “Fake News” as an offense punishable by treason for alternative media outlets that dare to counter the official U.S. government narrative echoed by corporate news monopoly the American public needs to seriously consider the consequences of the legislation.
The National Defense Authorization Act (NDAA) of 2012 drew widespread criticism due to its vague language which authorized President Obama to engage war against Al Qaeda and it’s allies anywhere in the world at anytime.
At the same time the act gave the executive branch complete authority to charge anyone, anywhere as a supporter of Al Qaeda and at the same time decide which sentence was appropriate for the alleged action, be it thrown in jail indefinitely, kidnapped under a program called “rendition” or even outright assassinated whether the accusations were against foreign combatants or against American citizens.
Of course the corporate media called such accusations “fake news” and conspiracy when the NDAA was initially passed but it didn’t take long at all for innocent Americans overseas to be kidnapped by the CIA and hauled off to secret black sites to be tortured or even outright executed by assassination drones all without any oversight from the legislative or judicial branches.
In fact, President Obama went as far as waging an outright war on whistle-blowers and journalists using the NDAA and now America finds itself with the powers of the 2012 NDAA expanded multiple timers over successive years to further fund America’s military industrial complex.
With the 2017 NDAA the expanse of power is mind numbing as the corporate media and the President himself has gone all out complaining about domestic propagandists being part of a vast Russian conspiracy to spread fake news as part of a campaign to sabotage Hillary Clinton’s campaign to become president.
The alternative media has been firing back every day pointing out the verifiable fake news that the corporate media has spread over the last few decades which has caused the deaths of millions of people around the globe while costing U.S. taxpayers millions of dollars.
Of course this comes while Lockheed Martin finally reveals the cost of the U.S. F-35 stealth fighter is set to cost U.S. taxpayers a total of 1.4 trillion dollars over the life of the program but perhaps the most astonishing “fake news” that the corporate media has pushed over the last decade that is being entirely ignored is Fukushima.
Let’s also not forget the cover up surrounding the BP Gulf Oil Spill but Fukushima by all means was far more devastating and for months and it is also more provably relevant to the subject of Fake News as after calling the alternative media a bunch of “tin-foil hatter” “conspiracy theorist” nut jobs for claiming there was a cover up that the media was not reporting on the corporate media finally admitted over 5 years after the disaster when no one was paying attention that there was in fact a cover up.
Let’s run through a small list, courtesy of EneNews:
The Times, Jun 22, 2016 (emphasis added): Fukushima nuclear meltdown was covered up, plant operator admits — The company responsible for the Fukushima Dai-ichi nuclear power plant has admitted lying about the meltdown of its reactors five years ago, in a deliberate cover-up…
NHK, Jun 21, 2016: TEPCO admits meltdown cover-up — The president of Tokyo Electric Power Company has admitted the company concealed the reactor meltdowns at its Fukushima Daiichi nuclear plant… TEPCO President Naomi Hirose said at a news conference on Tuesday that the company’s concealment of the meltdowns at the order of its then-president is a grave issue.
AP, Jun 21, 2016: The utility that ran the Fukushima nuclear plant acknowledged Tuesday its delayed disclosure of the meltdowns at three reactors was tantamount to a cover-up and apologized… “I would say it was a cover-up,” Hirose told a news conference. “It’s extremely regrettable.”… TEPCO has been accused of a series of cover-ups in the disaster…
CBS (AP), Jun 21, 2016: Fukushima meltdown apology: “It was a cover-up“
CBC(AP), Jun 21, 2016: Japanese power company TEPCO admits it lied about meltdown after Fukushima
Hong Kong Standard(AP), Jun 21, 2016: Japanese operator admits deadly Fukushima nuke meltdown coverup
Shanghai Daily (AP), Jun 22, 2016: It was a cover-up, says Fukushima chief
Asahi Shimbun, Jun 18, 2016: A panel investigating Tokyo Electric Power Co.’s response to the triple meltdown during the 2011 Fukushima nuclear disaster revealed an unpardonable breach of trust by the operator of the stricken Fukushima No. 1 nuclear power plant. But there is still a lot more work to be done by the panel to uncover the full scope of the utility’s apparent meltdown cover-up. Immediately after the catastrophic accident at the Fukushima nuclear plant, then TEPCO President Masataka Shimizu instructed employees not to use the term “meltdown,” leading to a delay in the official announcement, according to a report compiled by the investigation panel commissioned by the company. A reactor meltdown, or the melting of nuclear fuel in the core of a reactor, is about as bad as it gets. The panel’s report suggests that in the middle of this unprecedented nuclear disaster the top official of the plant operator was trying to conceal the severity of what was unfolding from the public…
So while TEPCO, the company that owned the Fukushima nuclear reactor, has issued a public apology for covering up the disaster there has been no apology in-kind from the corporate media for their accusations that alternative media outlets, like HNN and a very few others, were pushing fake news and conspiracy theories.
HNN and other news outlets simply looked at the raw facts and reported on them and were attacked for doing so. Clearly, just as with the BP Gulf Oil Spill and even the current war in Syria, the corporate media’s narrative was and still is driven the entire time by special interests and lobbyists, and in fact their own their own interests with hundreds of not millions and not billions but trillions, with a T, of dollars at stake.
This massive amount of money for these corporations, and their goal to keep their monopoly on those trillions of dollars, is far more important than telling the public the truth or saving the lives of millions of meaningless people who would ultimately suffer and die yet have no significance on the bottom line of their own profit margins.
The nuclear meltdown in Fukushima continues until this day and the radioactive poisoning of the planet continues to threaten hundreds of millions if not billions of earth-dwelling serfs and the corporate media’s fake news campaign has allow it to happen the entire time instead of forcing an immediate resolution to the issue to mitigate the catastrophe.
Let that sink in as the chilling effects of the 2017 NDAA come into effect and the alternative media outlets that did nothing more than reveal the truth about Fukushima being to wither up and die away due to their funding from online advertising being cut or their imprisonment for spreading the truth, which is now being called Russian propaganda because it threatens their globalist agenda and worldwide media monopoly.
