Prabowo - the Pentagon’s favourite Indonesian

I was looking for information on a close associate of George Soros and Donald Trump in Indonesia – Hary Tanoe: https://www.lawfulpath.com/forum/viewto ... t=40#p4590
Before I could post on that, I first had to check on General Prabowo, who has been working for the Pentagon for decades. Prabowo was trained in the USA by the US DoD.
Prabowo's father, Sumitro Djojohadikusumo, financed an armed rebellion against President Sukarno in 1957-58.
Sumitro was a cabinet minister under both President Sukarno and Suharto.
Prabowo married Suharto's youngest daughter, Titiek Suharto.
Prabowo's mentor and father-in-law, General Suharto, was Washington's man. The Clinton White House told the New York Times that Suharto is "our kind of guy".
Nicolau dos Reis Lobato became the first Prime Minister of East Timor after the declaration of independence in November 1975. After Lobato had become East Timor's second President, he was captured by Prabowo's KOPASSUS group on 31 December 1977 that shot and killed him.
A Timorese man told about having his leg and teeth broken by Prabowo.
In 1996, in West Papua foreign hostages were captured.
After a transfer already had been negotiated, this was quickly abandoned, when Prabowo was afraid that he wouldn’t get enough credit for the hostage rescue.
The aborted hostage transfer led to a brutal campaign of reprisal attacks by the Indonesian military (mostly by Prabowo’s group) against villages thought to be sympathetic to the OPM.
In August 1998, Prabowo had to resign from the Indonesian army, after revelations on his role in the kidnapping, torture and murder of peaceful democratic activists in 1997-98 (13 of the abductees are still missing, presumed dead) and his central role in sparking the 14 May 1998 anti-Chinese riots in Jakarta and several other major cities.
Prabowo confessed his role in the kidnappings, but said that his "conscience is clear".
Prabowo said about the 1998 Jakarta riots that featured murder, rape and anti-Chinese violence:
The Asian Human Rights Commission on 21 December 2013 published about the shooting and killing by Detachment 88 of Hubertus Mabel and wounding second Papuan activist Natalis Alua while in custody. Mabel was also stabbed in the chest.
The Indonesian army shot 7 Papuan fishermen in West Papua, killing 4.
By the end of 2012, at least 22 Papuans associated with the West Papua National Committee (KNPB) had been murdered in cold blood by the Indonesian government: http://etan.org/issues/wpapua/2013/1301wpap.htm

ABRI personnel have confirmed that KOPASSUS Group 4's men were trained by US intelligence, which has been confirmed by US officials in private.
In 1997, KOPASSUS, with US support, was expanded from 3,000 to 4,800 men. The Pentagon trained KOPASSUS on more than 24 JCET exercises and backed Prabowo's plan to obtain US helicopters.
The USA also supported Prabowo's “rival”, General Wiranto, whose units were also JCET trained. Wiranto was hailed by Adm. Joseph Prueher (chief of the US Pacific Command) as "a man of integrity and a true Indonesian patriot".
In 1998, the ETAN group showed that US intelligence knew for months about the disappearances as they were taking place. The activists' situation was known by Colonel Charles D. (Don) McFetridge of the US DIA and by the US embassy. Yet it took until mid-April, after the public protests erupted, that the State Department went to Prabowo and pushed for the release of some activists.
Allan Nairn reported about interviews with Colonel Chairawan, the KOPASSUS Group 4 commander, who said he directly deals with McFetridge of the DIA.
When Suharto couldn’t remain dictator, General Wiranto consulted nonstop with the US Embassy, on how to cover the Indonesian Armed Forces (ABRI) bloody tracks.
Lieut. Gen. Prabowo, Suharto's hated son-in-law was demoted, and was suddenly blamed for all ABRI offenses of recent months. The Washington Post suddenly announced on 23 May 1998 that Prabowo was behind recent "disappearances" of Indonesian activists: http://etan.org/news/news2/jakarta.htm#JAKARTA
Prabowo was Indonesia's single most intensively US-trained officer, and arguably Washington's closest Indonesian protégé ever.
General Prabowo has repeatedly confirmed to be "very good friends" with the US Defense Intelligence Agency (DIA), reporting to them on a weekly basis. He said that he was a go-between for US messages to Suharto. Prabowo was also involved in bringing US troops to Indonesia for exercises by the Pentagon on its "contingency plan for entry to Indonesia” (preparing for a possible invasion…).
Prabowo said he was on the phone frequently with Charles D. (Don) McFetridge (DIA) and others in US Intel. McFetridge also dealt directly with Prabowo's KOPASSUS Group 4 commander, Colonel Chairawan.
Prabowo said he was "very good friends” with DIA officer George Benson, who in the mid-1960s ran US-ABRI covert operations to topple Sukarno, amid US-backed massacres that killed hundreds of thousands of Indonesian.
After leaving the DIA, Benson represented Suharto's Pertamina oil company in Washington.
High US officials have continued to praise Prabowo.
Prabowo once put on a special KOPASSUS show for visiting US Commander in Chief of the US Pacific Command (CINCPAC), Admiral Joseph Prueher.
In January 1998, Defense Secretary William Cohen praised the "very impressive … discipline" of KOPASSUS. When Secretary Cohen visited, he raised eyebrows in Jakarta by going to KOPASSUS headquarters and pending 3 hours with Prabowo.
After Prabowo was forced to resign, former US Ambassador to Indonesia Robert Gelbard would call him:
After the ETAN group disclosed what was going on by releasing Pentagon JCET documents obtained with the help of the late US Representative Lane Evans, which focused on JCET drills with Prabowo's KOPASSUS, its founder (the writer of these articles) was arrested and interrogated by Suharto’s security forces.
Prabowo's brother, the billionaire investor Hashim Djojohadikusumo, said:
Hashim and Prabowo's father, Sumitro, sat on USINDO boards. Corporate sponsors of USINDO have included the Lippo Group, Freeport McMoRan, Texaco, Mobil, Raytheon, GE, Hughes Aircraft and Merrill Lynch: http://etan.org/news/2014/07nairn.htm

The Lippo Group leads to the Arkansas of Governor Bill Clinton.
The Chinese Indonesian James Riady was sent to the USA by his father Mochtar in 1977, where he met Bill Clinton. Riady bought a stake in the largest bank of Arkansas, Worthen, from Jackson Stephens. Worthen was later shut down, because of illegal loans and embezzlement.
From Los Angeles James Riady set up the Lippo bank with the help of Taiwanese banker John Huang. This bank lost a lot of money due to bad loans and was involved with money laundering: https://parapoliticaljournal.com/2015/1 ... -clintons/
The trusted aide of the Riadys, John Huang, got an important spot in the Clinton administration. During the presidency of Bill Clinton, Riady visited the White House more than 20 times. Joseph Giroir Jr, boss of Hillary at the Rose law firm, became an important lawyer for the Riady family.
In 1998 the US senate started an investigation into this affair. James Riady and John Huang pleaded guilty to violating campaign finance regulations by financing Bill Clinton with millions of dollars. The Lippo bank settled the case for 8.6 million dollar: http://articles.latimes.com/2001/jan/12/news/mn-11506
In June 1994 one of Riady’s companies paid Webster Hubbell (a former partner of Hillary at the Rose law firm) a 100,000 dollar “consulting fee”, right before Hubbell would go to prison for 21 months for refusing to testify against first lady Hillary Clinton (can anybody think of another reason, than he was paid to remain silent?). In 1995 Hubbell was hired to work for a Lippo Group affiliate.
Although Riady was formally not allowed to enter the USA again the Obama administration gave him a visa waiver so he could in 2009 on 2 occasions (Hillary Clinton denied being involved): http://partners.nytimes.com/library/pol ... bbell.html
The Riady family had strong connections with the Suharto regime.
To make the Indonesian coal mines of Mission Energy backed by Suharto and Mochtar Riady, a financial success; Bill Clinton simply had the possible place for coal mines in Utah declared a national monument, so now the USA had to import Indonesian coal, instead of mining their own.
The Entergy group based in Little Rock Arkansas, owned by the Lippo group, signed a Memorandum of Understanding with the North China Power Corporation to deliver Indonesian coal (with no competition of the Utah coal fields): http://www.americanthinker.com/articles ... oggle.html

Until recently I was an investor in California, in a big way, in the oil business.
